Biodiversity
One of the things that has changed on farm land over the last century, is removing anything that isn't producing a crop.
As we are now discovering, that creates to a sterile environment, where animal and plant species are greatly reduced.
At Herd on the Hill, we are reintroducing native plants and trees that create a thriving bio-diverse environment.

Volunteering
As much as possible, we use natural people power to do our planting and bio-diversity work.
Apart from being a worthwhile thing to do for wild life, it's extremely rewarding, and great exercise.
We have a great team of volunteers and helpers, but there is always more to do.
